Welcome to St. Peter!  It's summer in the valley, and the Chamber is excited to host the 45th Annual Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic in the Park, which draws about 10,000 people. Fun run events begin with registration at 6 a.m. in Minnesota Square Park, the parade is 10 a.m. to noon along Washington and Elm streets, the picnic in Minnesota Square Park goes noon to 4 p.m. with food and free entertainment, and fireworks start 10 p.m. from Nicollet County Fairgrounds. See the poster above for details. St. Peter is home to a variety of museums and galleries, a thriving entreprenurial community, and Gustavus Adolphus College. We cordially invite you to visit our vibrant downtown, view 40 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, take walking tours, learn about the five Minnesota governors from St. Peter, see the historic Cox House, enjoy live music at outdoor festivals, dine at any of 16 restaurants, golf at Shoreland Country Club, browse unique stores in a Norman Rockwell scene, bicycle, hike, check out antiques, visit our schools, hospital and other health care facilities, have your picture taken by the Pearly Gates, and gaze at the Minnesota River from our campground and historic bridge. The Chamber is happy to provide all the information you need to relocate your business or family to the St. Peter area.
