St. Peter Economic Development Authority

The Economic Development Authority focuses its efforts on expanding and creating business development and housing opportunities within the City of St. Peter.  The Economic Development Authority manages a substantial revolving loan fun that provides loans for business expansion, retention, and recruitment projects.  Loans can be subordinated to conventional financing which enables businesses to assemble a complete financial package.  The Economic Develpment Authority is also experienced in the use of Tax Increment Financing, which has served as a useful development tool for the City of St. Peter.

St. Peter Community Development Corporation

The St. Peter Community Development Corporation is a 40 year-old private development corporation dedicated to the industrial and commercial development of St. Peter.  The Development Corporation has a multidisciplinary board of directors from the community committed to the success of local industry and commercial enterprise while encouraging development of new industry and business in the community.

Although the Development Corporation is a private, “for profit” corporation, none of the earnings of the Development Corporation directly benefit its shareholders or directors.  Every dollar generated by Development Corporation efforts is reinvested in the community to encourage industrial and commercial development.
