  • Signup deadline is 5 p.m. Monday April 17
  • Tickets are $50 each or $275 for a table of six
  • Tickets include the dinner, performance and ambiance
  • All drinks are $5 each, even the Pina Colada signature drink
  • Soft drinks are complimentary
  • Rather than “tickets,” we simply place your name on the list and check you in at the event
  • You can pay by cash or check (no cards, to respect your security) before the event or at checkin
  • Just call the box office at 507-766-4560 on Saturday, April 15 or Sunday, April 16
  • Or, call the Chamber office at 934-3400 on Monday, April 17

What to expect

  • You will arrive at the Gustavus banquet rooms around 5:30 p.m.
  • You can dress in tropical theme attire, denim or what is ever comfortable for you
  • This is the Saint Peter Chamber Annual Social, and it’s open to everyone!
  • The theme is cruise ship and tropical
  • The performance is titled, “Murder on the S.S. Saint Peter” presented by Pioneer Bank
  • Enjoy drinks at the cash, including the signature drink – Pina Colada. Soft drinks are complimentary
  • Find deals at the Silent Auction table
  • Take plenty of pictures, as the banquet rooms will be decorated with the cruise ship theme

Schedule, subject to tweaks

  • 5:30 p.m.: Guests arrive at the Gustavus banquet rooms. Guests mingle and check out the cash bar and Silent Auction
  • 6:20 p.m.: Performance Director Paul Warshauer is introduced
  • 6:40 p.m.: Salads are served to guests in the sit-down dinner
  • 7:00 p.m. Murder mystery performance begins; guests enjoy the main dinner course; murder mystery act 2 is performed; dessert is served; guests enjoy dessert; murder mystery act 3 is performed
  • 8:45 p.m.: Guests are encouraged to submit their final, highest bids in the Silent Auction
  • 9:00 p.m.: Silent Auction closes with a hard stop
  • 9:50 p.m.: Performance ends, sentiments of thank-you given

The professional theater troupe

  • Murders4Fun, led by director Paul Warshauer, has performed 460 original script performances like this one all over the country
  • The mystery for this performance includes many unique features of the Saint Peter and Kasota area 
  • Community actors are Miss Mankato Sage Hovet, Bill Gronseth, Gretchen Hildebrandt, Jennifer Hildebrandt, Ben Findley, Jeremy Kuznia and Ed Lee

The menu, subject to tweaks

  • Course 1: Spring green salad
  • Course 2, the main course: Stuffed chicken, duck, asparagus, rice
  • Course 3: Carrot cake or chocolate torte, with the choice while each lasts

Silent Auction

  • There will be about 50 items on the Silent Auction table to bid on
  • You will receive a bid number when you arrive at the event
  • The Silent Auction will hard-stop at 9 p.m.
  • Bidders will be encouraged at 8:45 p.m. to make their last, highest bid
  • Bid winners will be tabulated by event staff around 9 p.m.
  • Please don’t rush to pay for items, as event staff is limited
  • Please pay for auction items with a check or cash, as we do not use credit and debit cards so we are respecting guests’ security

The Chamber Task Force for the Annual Social

  • The Task Force thanks guests, performers, Gustavus Dining Services, sponsors, and donors of Silent Auction items
  • Task Force members are Matt Wallskog of First National Bank – Minnesota; Dawn Lehtinen of  Minnesota Valley Education District and Saint Peter AmericInn; and Jean Gansen of Pioneer Bank
  • The Annual Social serves as an event to make community connections and as a fundraiser to fuel Chamber programs, such as Winterfest, Old-Fashioned Fourth of July, and Girls Day Out
