Flag Day Ceremony

In partnership with the American Legion Post 37 and the City of Saint Peter, the Flag Retirement Ceremony is a time-honored tradition that pays tribute to the United States flag and its significance as a symbol of freedom, unity, and democracy. As part of this ceremony, worn, torn, or tattered flags will be respectfully retired following proper flag etiquette. The retiring of the flag is a symbolic gesture of respect for the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and defended the principles for which it stands. If you have flags in need of proper retirement, please drop them off at Legion Post 37 or attend the event on June 14. For information, contact the Recreation Department at 507-934-0667. Public Welcome!
