Saint Peter Winterfest 2024

Winterfest 2024 goes January 26 to February 11. Send us information about your event so we can
promote it under the Winterfest umbrella of happenings.

Friday, January 26, 5 p.m., at the Chamber and Tourism office – Winterfest Opening Ceremony (all
free) with bonfire, hot chocolate, s’mores, search for Joe Rolette’s missing paperwork that would
have made Saint Peter the Capital, and reading of the first Medallion Hunt clue. Free
and open to the public. It’s a kids friendly event.

Friday, January 26 at 5:01 p.m. on Facebook – Posting of the first Medallion Hunt clue. New clue
will be posted daily at 5:01 p.m. until the medallion is found. Thank you to Carolyn Mager of West
& Mager Insurance and Financial Services for sponsoring the 2024 hunt. Please call Ed immediately
at 507-766-4560 if you find it so we can spread the word.

Friday, February 2 at 6 p.m. doors and 7 p.m. bell – WinterMania at Johnson Hall. It’s a new
professional wrestling event.

Saturday, February 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Nicollet County Historical Society is hosting Super
Snow Saturday with free admission, family-friendly activities, self-guided trail walks and the free
movie Babe from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Saint Peter Recreation and Leisure Services hosting
Snow Day in the Park at Veterans Park with free family friendly activities, a bonfire, games and
skating rinks.

Saturday, February 3 at 12 p.m. (subject to change) – Polar Plunge at Hallett’s Pond

Saturday, February 3 at 1 p.m. – Winter-Slam Demolition Derby at Nicollet County Fairgrounds

Saturday, February 10 at 1 p.m. – River’s Edge Hospital is hosting a Winter Walk (approximately 1
mile) around the healthcare campus. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to meet inside the
hospital – using the Emergency/Main entrance on Sunrise Drive & head out on the walk at 11 a.m.
Cookies and Hot Chocolate will be served. This will be held snow or shine. If temps fall and/or
windchills fall below 0 that day, participants will skip the walk and gather for visiting, cookies and
hot chocolate Saturday, February 10 at 1 p.m. (check Chamber site as the date draws closer)

Saturday, February 10 at 1 p.m. – Downtown establishments are hosting the annual Poker Walk, where a card from a deck is collected at each location to make the best poker hand. Prizes will be awarded for the best poker hands, the best costume of an individual, along with the team of four, dressed in the theme of WinterMania professional wrestling. Registration at the Red Men Club begins several minutes ahead of the walk. Each establishment will also offer a game to win prizes

Sunday, February 11 at 9 a.m. to noon – The Saint Peter Lions are hosting a Dad’s Belgian Waffle
Breakfast at Saint Peter Community Center in Room 219. Cost is $10, and kids age 5 and under eat
free.
