St. Peter Winterfest takes place annually in late January and early February and is coordinated by the St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (will be updated as events are finalized).

Fri., February 1

  • Winterfest Opening Ceremony Party (free and open to all ages)
    • 5:01 p.m. in Levee Park/St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce
    • Free hot chocolate and s’mores making
    • Reading of first Medallion clue at 6:01 p.m.
    • Free Medallion Medals to the first 100 participants
    • Mini-Medallion Hunt; prizes awarded 
    • Levee Luminary Loppet (Bring skis. Ski among luminaries)
    • Medallion hunting in Levee Park

Fri., February 1

  • Medallion Hunt Starts
    • First clue will be posted on this website at 6:01 p.m. February 1
    • Prize for finding the medallion is $1,000 in Chamber Bucks
    • Special thanks to the St. Peter Tourism & Visitors Bureau for sponsoring the event

Sat., February 2

  • Polar Plunge
  • Polar Plunge Post Party
    • Patrick’s 4-7 p.m.
    • Music by Lost Walleye Trio
  • Snow Day in the Park
    • Sponsored by St. Peter Recreation and Leisure Services
    • Veteran’s Park
    • 1-4 p.m.
    • Ice skating, boot skating, snowshoeing, snow painting
    • S’mores making with hot cocoa and cider

Sun., February 3

  • Lions Breakfast — Dad’s Belgian Waffles
    • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Community Center
    • $7 in advance or $7.50 at the door; Ages 5 and under free
    • Proceeds help Back to School Backpack Project
    • St. Peter Lions

Thurs., February 7

  • St. Peter Reads – POSTPONED
    • St. Peter Community Center Room 219
    • 7 p.m.
    • Local author Jill Kalz will discuss her recently published book,
    • The Winter Bees, and sign books.  FREE event.

  • A Night at the Museum

Sat., February 16   

  • City Wide Poker Walk
    • 1-4 p.m.
    • Registration noon at Red Men Club

    • variety show featuring aerial art, belly dancing and live music
  • Commander’s Chilifest

Shoeshoes can be rented at the recreation office or at the Treaty Site History Center
