Every July 4, the St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host more than 10,000 revelers for the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. The Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic in the Park quickens the pulse of the community with excitement of live music, variety of food vendors, children’s activities, a chili dog eating contest, and spectacular fireworks display. This event blends old traditions with new attractions and promises to provide entertainment for all ages. July 4 is on a Thursday in 2019. Registration for the Freedom Fun Run re-opens at 6 a.m. on July 4. In Minnesota Square Park:
Food vendors, beer tent, chili dog eating contest, hula hoop contest, Comedian/Magician Michael Callahan as emcee, live music by Sandra Lee & The Velvets, activities for kids including inflatable obstacle course, and activities for kids by the Saint Peter Recreation Department. Join the party in the park!
