Nicollet County Fairgrounds  400 Union St., 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Food stands, goodie bags, make & takes, kids activities, Admission is $1 per adult/$3 per carload.

Oct. 19 Knights of Columbus Fish Boil

Church of St. Peter - 1801 W. Broadway Ave., 5-7:30 p.m., Enjoy the "Famous" fish boil of Icelandic pollock, carrots, potatoes, and onions. Cherry or apple pie. Cold beer for sale, too!  Adults $12; youth 6-12 $5, and pre-schoolers free.

Oct. 19-20 11th Annual Pocahontas Bake Sale and Fundraiser

Red Men Club  -  412 S. Third St., St. Peter, Friday, October 19 4-7 p.m., Saturday, October 20 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Bingo Saturday at 4 p.m. Silent auction bidding starts Friday at 4 p.m. and ends after Bingo Saturday evening. Proceeds from bingo and the quilt raffle benefit Alzheimer’s research. Raffle tickets are available from any Pocahontas member and at the Red Men Club while they last. Dec. 6 Festival of St. Lucia

The community is invited to a chapel service featuring the Lucia Court, singing by the Lucia Singers choir, and the previous year's St. Lucia providing a homily during which the legend is retold.

The chapel service is from 10 - 10:30 a.m. in Christ Chapel, is free and open to the public and will be live streamed and archivedThe service is followed by a Scandinavian smörgåsbord luncheon and program. The
