Every July 4, the St. Peter Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host more than 10,000 revelers for the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. The Old-Fashioned Parade and Picnic in the Park quickens the pulse of the community with excitement of live music, variety of food vendors, children's activities, a hot dog eating contest, and spectacular fireworks display. This event blends old traditions with new attractions and promises to provide entertainment for all ages. July 4 is on a Monday in 2016. Registration for the Freedom Fun Run re-opens at 6 a.m. on July 4. Sign up to participate in the 8K Run at 7:30 a.m., the 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m., the Kids 1-Mile at 9 a.m. and the Toddler Trots Approximately 9:15 a.m.

In Minnesota Square Park:
Food vendors, beer tent, hot dog eating contest, Comedian/Magician Michael Callahan as emcee, live music, activities for kids including pony rides, kiddie train, inflatable games, and water slide. Join the party in the park!
